  • #LCC #Syria | Since the beginning of the Revolution, the young martyr Hassan Ahmad Azhari (26 years old and in his 5th year of pharmacy school in Lattakia) participated in the reporting of events in his region. He was a member of the Lattakia cooridination and he worked at the Local Coordination Committees in Syria media office in Syria since the revolution first took off in his region. He helped to organize demonstrations and document them with pictures and videos. He also photographed several of the regime’s army’s violations in the region, using his only weapon, a “camera”. Hassan contributed in verifying the names of martyrs and detainees until he was detained on April 13th, 2012, the circumstances of which were unknown until recently. Hassan remained in Assad’s prisons for nearly two months and throughout the period of his detention he experienced the worst types of torture. On June 11th, 2012, Hassan’s family received a call from a military hospital in Damascus, asking them to assume the body of the martyr. Since the news was received in Lattakia, several protests were waged in comdemnation of the killing of the pharmacy student who never learned in his studies anything that could have saved his life and the Faculty of Law, which neighbored the Faculty of Pharmacy at his Univeristy, could not ensure him even the most minimal of rights in Syria....May Mercy Be Bestowed On Your Pure Soul
