With the TI10 Battle Pass being released for nearly four days now, the 35-year-old prince is set to keep first place in the Battle Pass leaderboards as he already has got his account to level 14430. So far, the Prince has spent approximately $6000, however in the previous two years he poured a lot more money in the Dota 2 Battle Pass.
His Royal Highness spent in 2018 approximately $42,000 to get his Battle Pass to level 101127, while last year he cut the costs to half and spent about $21,000 reaching level 51354.

ToTok a connu un succès fulgurant en quelques mois d’existence et l’app a été téléchargée des millions de fois dans le monde entier. Cette messagerie instantanée doublée d’une solution de visioconférence a été créée dans les Émirats arabes unis pour venir concurrencer WhatsApp, Skype et toutes les autres. Même si elle a surtout été populaire dans son pays d’origine, son succès était croissant dans le reste du monde. Aux États-Unis, c’était même l’une des apps les plus téléchargées dans la catégorie des réseaux sociaux ces dernières semaines.
On en parle au passé, car vous ne pourrez plus l’installer sur votre smartphone. Google l’a supprimée du Play Store jeudi dernier, Apple a suivi vendredi pour l’App Store. Et hier, dimanche 22 décembre, un article publié par le New York Times justifie cette disparition subite. D’après les autorités américaines, la vraie raison d’être de cette app était d’offrir au gouvernement des Émirats arabes unis une solution d’espionnage à grande échelle.

A closer examination of the company’s publicly listed investors, however, has revealed new reasons to be suspicious of this self-declared crusader against propaganda. As Breitbart discovered, NewsGuard’s third-largest investor, Publicis Groupe, owns a PR firm that has repeatedly airbrushed Saudi Arabia.

Following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Riyadh enlisted Qorvis Group, a Publicis subsidiary, in the hope of countering accusations that the kingdom turned a blind eye to – or even promoted – terrorism. Between March and September 2002, the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia reportedly paid Qorvis $14.7 million to run a PR blitz targeting American media consumers. As part of the campaign, Qorvis employed a litany of dubious tactics, including running pro-Saudi ads under the name of an activist group, Alliance for Peace and Justice. Tellingly, the FBI raided the company’s offices in 2004, after Qorvis was suspected of running afoul of foreign lobbying laws.
Between 2010 and 2015, Qorvis is believed to have received millions of dollars to continue to whitewash the kingdom’s image in the United States. The accelerated airbrushing came just as the Saudis launched its devastating war against Yemen. In fact, Qorvis created an entire website – operationrenewalofhope.com – to promote the Saudi-led war in Yemen, according to the Intercept.

The locations of Jaysh al-Islam’s leader Zahran Alloush, Ahrar al-Sham leaders Hassan Aboud and Khalid al-Suri, leader of Liwa al-Tawhid Abdulkadir Salih, who all fell martyrs to the bombings of the Syrian regime, were shared by Saudi Arabia and the UAE with Assad, according to a Syrian opposition commander.
In an exclusive interview with Yeni Şafak daily, Mahmoud Sulayman, a commander of the Mohammad Al-Fateh brigade, revealed that between the years 2012 and 2014, the Abu Dhabi and Riyadh brought hundreds of satellite phones to the front.
“The passwords of the UAE-made ‘Thuraya’ and the British-made ‘Inmarsat’ satellite phones, which were given to group commanders by the UAE and Saudi Arabia, were shared with Damascus, thus this information led to the killings of dozens of opposition commanders,” he said.

It was through social media that Ashraf Abu Leila, possibly the most notorious of recently convicted collaborators, is said to have first been recruited by Israeli intelligence. Accused with two other men of the assassination of Mazen al-Fuqaha, a senior Qassam Brigades leader who was killed in March last year, Abu Leila was executed on 25 May 2017 after being found guilty by a revolutionary court.
Under questioning, Abu Leila is said to have confessed to being recruited through an online messenger app at the beginning of 2004 by a man who claimed to be a member of al-Qaida. And over time, authorities say, Abu Leila proved a deadly assassin.
A member of Hamas since 2001, Abu Leila reportedly early became close to a Qassam commander, who would unwittingly shield him in the future. During the 2007 fighting in Gaza that led to the ouster of Fatah, Hamas authorities now say he was responsible for the murder of several members of the preventive security forces. He was also accused of another murder, but escaped punishment due to his involvement with Hamas’ military wing.
He subsequently worked in different ministries until 2013, when he became increasingly radicalized and reportedly got close to Gaza’s Doghmush clan and its Salafi Army of Islam group. Indeed, the assassination of al-Fuqaha was initially thought to have been carried out by Salafis, with whom Hamas has been engaged in conflict on and off for more than a decade.

Bassel Safadi avait été arrêté en mars 2012 dans la foulée de la répression menée par le régime du président Bachar el-Assad contre la révolte pacifique déclenchée un an plus tôt.
Des pétitions et des appels d’ONG comme Human Rights Watch et Amnesty avaient été lancées pour la libération de l’informaticien, exécuté à l’âge de 34 ans.
Ce dernier était très connu dans la communauté mondiale dite de l’internet libre (open internet), qui prône une utilisation non restreinte de la toile.
Son travail était d’autant plus important dans un pays régi par un régime autoritaire depuis plus d’un demi-siècle et où la censure est reine. Internet n’a été introduit en Syrie que dans les années 2000 avec des restrictions imposées sur plusieurs sites.
En 2016, HRW avait souligné que la détention de l’informaticien « semble être la conséquence directe de son travail légitime et pacifique pour la promotion et la protection du droit à la liberté d’expression ».
Bassel Safadi a notamment contribué à des projets dits « open source » comme Mozilla Firefox ou Wikipedia.
Ayant lancé à Damas en 2010 Aiki Lab -dédié aux technologies collaboratives-, il a « permis aux gens d’avoir de nouveaux instruments pour s’exprimer et communiquer », écrivait le Guardian dans un portrait de lui en 2015.
On note au passage que, dans cette dictature, il y avait de l’open source bien avant la révolution. Je me souviens d’une conférence de Richard Stallman à Damas d’ailleurs, vers 2006 je crois. 5 ans de détention pour un militant qui manquera à son pays, avec beaucoup d’autres hélas.

En ce qui concerne le Yémen, il faut nuancer ce « personne » ; Le Monde (le même qui a commis cette vidéo lamentable sur les armements français) publie depuis quelques jours les reportages de Jean-Philippe Rémy et Olivier Laban-Mattei.
Oui il y a des noirs et des blancs (jeu de mots volontaire) dans la « photo médiatique » des victimes.... Oui, la mort d’hommes courageux peut être exploitée par des salauds (y compris organisés en ONG). Reste que cela ne doit pas nos empêcher de mentionner les disparitions qui nous importent, et en profiter pour tenter de faire bouger un tout petit peu les lignes en disant que la Syrie, prétendu « désert numérique » comme on l’a répété à loisir en 2011, c’est juste une fable. En plus, le régime, enfin une partie du régime, avait une attitude très ambivalente sur cette question. Cela étant, pour perdre définitivement tout crédit aux yeux de certains, ce qui s’est passé, depuis 2011, confirme (mais ne justifie pas, je précise) les mises en garde des sécuritaires (éventuellement volontiers tortinnaires) clamant à l’époque que le numérique était un cheval de Troie pour une intervention étrangère, qui ne serait pas pacifique. pour protester contre le JASTA ( la possibilité pour des citoyens US d’acter en justice contre la Royaume saoudien suite aux attentats du 11 septembre). Le hashtag « Le monde juge l’Amérique ».

Sectarianism and Countersectarianism Online
The vast majority of tweets containing anti-Shia, anti-Sunni, or countersectarian rhetoric were sent from the Gulf and were especially concentrated in Saudi Arabia, mirroring Twitter’s demographic distribution across the Arab world, as well as rising tensions and regime crackdowns on the Saudi Shia population.
Anti-Shia rhetoric is much more common online than anti-Sunni or countersectarian rhetoric, reflecting the minority status of Shia throughout the region and the manner in which anti-Shia rhetoric is amplified by influential Twitter users with millions of followers.
While social media has facilitated Sunni-Shia interaction online, including the coordination of joint political protest movements, today countersectarian rhetoric is often dismissed or decried as pro-Shia propaganda.

The answer to this question is an extremely problematic one for Europe, for it is European companies that provide the terrorists with access to the platforms they use to spread their propaganda. It remains unclear whether the companies knowingly do so, but documents obtained by SPIEGEL ONLINE show that they may very well know what’s going on. And the documents show that the companies could immediately cut off Islamic State’s Internet access without much effort.
If you need to get online in Syria or Iraq, the technology needed to do so can be purchased in the Hatay province — a corner of Turkey located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Syrian border.
Most of the satellite dishes going to the Middle East make their way through Rotterdam, the world’s third-largest port. It’s here, among the 12 million containers processed annually, that the satellite technology and modems arrive in Europe. Most of the manufacturers are located in the Far East, with their customers based in Paris, London or Luxembourg.
A number of distribution firms are involved in the sales chain of the technologies required to obtain satellite Internet access. At the beginning of this chain are the major European satellite operators, led by France’s Eutelsat, Great Britain’s Avanti Communications and Luxembourg’s SES. Among the most popular brands are Hughes by Avanti and, especially, Tooway by Eutelsat. The French company has been in business for years and offers almost complete global coverage with its satellites.
Distribution firms then buy facilities and satellite capacity from the big companies and resell it to corporate or private customers. They also work together with additional companies like the German firm Sat Internet Services based in the northern city of Neustadt am Rübenberge.
It’s a lucrative business for company CEO Victor Kühne, who expanded distribution to Turkey a few years ago. His problem is: the market for satellite Internet technology is limited in the European Union because of near blanket coverage of standard broadband Internet connections on the continent. Sales in Turkey are fairly slow too, because satellite connections are more expensive than classic DSL access.
The satellite operators don’t provide data on the number of customers they have, but there is anecdotal evidence. In Turkey, for example, those seeking to access the Internet using a satellite dish are required to register with the government’s BTK telecommunications authority. According to the most recent data available from the agency, there were 11,000 registered satellite Internet users in Turkey during the first quarter of 2015, only 500 more than the previous year.
But during 2013 and 2014, alone, Neustadt-based Sat Internet Services exported more than 6,000 dishes to Turkey, customs agency documents obtained by SPIEGEL ONLINE show. It is likely that most of those satellite dishes did not remain in Turkey, and there’s a strong chance a good deal of them ended up in Syria. The Syrian market has a decisive advantage in that there is no alternative Internet access available, meaning prices can be set very high.

Possible connections linking Eutelsat with Syria could be particularly uncomfortable for the French government, which indirectly holds a 26-percent share in the satellite operator through the state-owned Bank Caisse des Dépôts.

Fear of political unrest has long been stated as the main reason for the government’s Internet censorship policy. Yet, while political concerns remain significant, they no longer constitute the main motivation for restricting access to some websites. Tech-savvy young Iranians bypass censorship on a daily basis using a variety of anti-filtering technologies. Indeed, the key motivation for the Iranian authorities’ restrictive Internet policy is economic in nature. These days, social media sites and the Internet in general are increasingly being looked at through an economic lens in Iran. This shift is the result of two main developments: first; the government’s relative success with containing security risks presented by the web, and second, an increasing realization of the business potential of the Internet — including social media.
