Depuis maintenant deux ans, un spectre hante les universités d’Île-de-France : QLF. Partisans de la piraterie et de la malice, ils organisent régulièrement des hétérotopies surprises à base de nourriture gratuite, de combats de boxe semi-clandestins et de pyrotechnie. La semaine dernière, c’est le campus flambant neuf de La Chapelle qui accueille désormais 3500 étudiants exilés de Tolbiac qui a été pris pour cible. Récit et analyse.
Paris 1 a ouvert son campus La Chapelle. 3500 étudiants sortis de Tolbiac ont été envoyé dans un nouveau site 100 % neuf 100 % Sim City. Cette architecture, réfléchie par la fac pendant 10 ans, n’a rien à envier à un aéroport ou une clinique privée, elle dégage une ambiance de Purgatoire où rien ne peut arriver…
« Imposer une conduite quelconque à une multiplicité humaine quelconque. »
« Rendez-nous Tolbiac » est le cri le plus diffus parmi les tags des WC de La Chapelle. Pourtant, le béton armé de Tolbiac était austère, en plus d’être vertical. Que regrette-t-on vraiment ? La brutalité de l’architecture de Tolbiac faisait depuis les années 70 une forteresse à conquérir, facilement retournable par les foules. Sous la tour, des lieux comme « la fosse » ou « l’amphi N » étaient (presque) habitables. Dans le gris de Tolbiac, les couleurs proposées par les ascenseurs étaient les repères quotidiens et la prise de guerre des étudiants bloqueurs pour attraper le petit monde universitaire pour qu’il mette les mains dans la vraie politique. Pour des générations d’étudiants, il suffisait d’être assez (peu) nombreux à être motivés pour tout faire bugger. Contester, se rencontrer, s’organiser, c’était bloquer les ascenseurs, devenus, une fois peuplés de tables et de chaises, les ronds-points étudiants d’une journée ou d’un printemps.
« Université d’excellence de surveillance ». À La Chapelle, la forteresse est conçue pour être imprenable. Ce campus est « moderne » et « agréable » car bâti à l’aide d’un verre plus lisse et contrôlable que le béton armé. Le verre est un matériau sur lequel rien n’a prise. Rien de vivant ne peut y proliférer autrement qu’autour ou à côté. Dedans ? À condition de se conformer. Au travers ? À condition de le casser. Rien ne peut lui être souterrain, il n’a pas d’angle mort. Ils ont construit un aquarium pour étudiant, un petit laboratoire de bienséance et de discrétion. Sous ses allures d’open space, on passe dans des couloirs dépourvus de bancs, où on est assis par terre, cernés par des barreaux et bien sûr par un tas de caméras. Dans un espace dans lequel rien n’est à faire, on a juste à suivre les nudges. La Chapelle est un aquarium-supermarché. Un Campus bâti sur l’angoisse de sa propre négation.
« Quoi de mieux qu’un lieu sans âme pour nous faire perdre la nôtre ». La Chapelle donne à voir et subir quotidiennement un lieu chewing-gum qui ressemble à un supermarché plutôt qu’à une fac.

The art installation “Unity” was unveiled with the support of ForteBank JSC on the embankment of the Sayran reservoir in Almaty, Kazakhstan
Almaty has unveiled a bronze art installation in memory of the city residents who formed a human chain to rescue a dog. The monument has been placed on the embankment of the Sayran reservoir — the very site where the events took place. The project was initiated by ForteBank JSC and Progression agency, part of DASM group.
Some years ago a dog became stranded on the bank of the #Sayran reservoir, unable to climb the steep concrete wall on its own. Several strangers stopped, joined hands and formed a human chain. The last person in the chain reached down to the animal and pulled it to safety. Someone filmed the moment on a phone — the video spread around the world, accumulating millions of views. In the comments, in dozens of languages, people wrote the same thing: that the human willingness to help is stronger than any circumstance.
The sculpture recreates that very scene. The hand of the last figure is deliberately extended beyond the railing — so that any passerby can take hold of it and become part of the humanity chain.
“This story is about people who did not walk away. It reminds us of what we are here for: to help and support one another. We are glad that the city now has a symbol of this simple yet meaningful gesture — one that anyone can literally become part of. For us, this is not just a project, but also a reminder of the value of human solidarity. Because at Forte, we believe: what one person cannot do alone becomes possible when we act together.” said a representative for ForteBank JSC.
The statue went viral and became global media sensation even before the official opening that was held on March 22. Two days before, during the installation process, first photos appeared in social media and the news went viral organically, in Kazakhstan and far-far away beyond its borders, from Spain to Vietnam, from Brazil to India.
At this time just one of the publications in Instagram gathered more than 2 million likes, 36 000 comments, and 40 millions views. Total organic reach, earned media forecast — more than 500 millions across the world. No people in 20 million population in Kazakhstan who doesn’t know about this art installation presented by ForteBank.
The art installation was created by Yerbosyn Meldibekov, one of the most prominent contemporary artists from Kazakhstan and Central Asia. His practice engages with historical documents, images, monuments, landscapes and figures, reinterpreting them through the lens of memory and identity. Meldibekov’s works are held in the collections of M HKA | Museum of Contemporary Art (Antwerp), Burger Collection (Hong Kong), M+ Museum (Hong Kong), the National Museum of Singapore, and other major institutions.

Abstract
Media reports of collisions both reflect and shape public understanding of road safety. This paper analyses 204 Swiss newspaper articles reporting collisions between car drivers and cyclists. Our analysis shows that these reports reproduce discursive biases rooted in motonormativity. Cyclists are placed at the center of the narrative, while motorists are either omitted or reduced to their vehicles. Passive voice, non-agentive phrasing, and objectifying language implicitly shift blame towards cyclists. Systemic causes are rarely mentioned. Making these biases visible is essential for challenging motonormativity and reframing collisions in ways that promote safer, fairer, and more human-centered mobility.

In body text, accident (74%) dominates over collision (48%), crash (24%), and tragedy (7%). The systematic use of accident, with its fatalistic connotation, presents crashes as unavoidable, and obscures human or institutional responsibility. Stronger or more critical terms such as tragedy remain marginal. This framing minimizes the seriousness of collisions and contributes to their normalization as isolated incidents rather than structural problems requiring political action.
La #traque des migrants subsahariens
Depuis 2023, le nombre d’#interceptions au large des côtes tunisiennes a beaucoup augmenté, alors que l’Europe sous-traite au pays la lutte contre l’immigration illégale. En parallèle, les discours xénophobes de #Kaïs_Saïed alimentent les violences en tout genre envers les migrants subsahariens.
Depuis la signature d’un #accord de #coopération entre l’#Union_européenne et la Tunisie en juillet 2023, Tunis est devenu l’un des principaux sous-traitants de la lutte contre l’immigration illégale vers l’Europe, en tout cas l’un des plus efficaces à en juger par les #chiffres (depuis que le partenariat a été mis en place, les arrivées illégales en Italie ont été divisées par 25). En échange de #fonds européens bienvenus en période de crise économique, la Tunisie a ainsi drastiquement augmenté le nombre d’interceptions d’embarcations en mer, provoquant de nombreux drames, et organisé une traque aux migrants subsahariens en situation irrégulière. Si elle est le résultat de la dépendance de l’État tunisien aux financements européens, cette politique est par ailleurs alimentée par des discours xénophobes, racistes et complotistes tenus par Kaïs Saïed , à l’image de celui du 21 février 2023 dans lequel le président tunisien parlait de “hordes de migrants clandestins” et évoquait l’existence d’un “plan criminel pour changer la composition du paysage démographique en Tunisie”.
Des personnes migrantes exposées aux #violences_policières et aux trafics
Face aux #arrestations qui se sont multipliées depuis le début des négociations avec l’Union européenne, de nombreux migrants subsahariens ont trouvé refuge dans des #campements au nord de #Sfax, sous les oliveraies, où ils seraient aujourd’hui entre 20 000 et 30 000. Mais là encore ils sont exposés aux actions policières, comme en témoignent les démantèlements des camps d’#El_Amra et de #Jebeniana au printemps 2025, ainsi qu’aux trafics en tout genre. Car la fermeture de la voie maritime et le tarissement de la source de revenus qu’elle générait pour certains fonctionnaires corrompus et autres passeurs ont provoqué la reconversion d’une partie de ces acteurs vers d’autres activités pour tenter de continuer à tirer profit de la situation des migrants subsahariens. S’est ainsi développée toute une économie autour du #kidnapping, certaines personnes étant enlevées puis conduites à la frontière libyenne ou algérienne avant d’y être vendues ou abandonnées en plein #désert. Elles doivent ensuite faire appel à leur famille que l’on rançonne, ou bien payer très cher des taxis criminels pour pouvoir regagner Sfax.
Comment s’articulent le partenariat entre la Tunisie et l’Union européenne, les discours racistes de Kaïs Saïed et les violences exercées à l’encontre des migrants subsahariens ? Comment ces politiques migratoires ont peu à peu créé un secteur d’activité économique informel profitant à toute une série d’acteurs, dont certains fonctionnaires ? Quelle est la situation des migrants subsahariens aujourd’hui en Tunisie ?
Bloqués en Tunisie dans une situation de grande précarité du fait du durcissement des politiques migratoires tunisiennes et européennes, de nombreux migrants subsahariens trouvent un emploi dans le secteur agricole. Généralement sous-payés et travaillant sans aucun cadre légal, ils sont pourtant indispensables aux exploitants avec lesquels ils tissent souvent des liens, bien que leur relation soit profondément inégale.

The Palisades nuclear #plant, about a two-hour drive from Chicago, was decommissioned in 2022, judged to be #uneconomical in a world of #cheap American #gas. But Florida-headquartered company Holtec is reviving it. It will mark not only the first ever #restart of a shuttered #US nuclear plant, but, if all goes to plan, Palisades will also be the birthplace of a nuclear #breakthrough: America’s first commercial “#small_modular_reactors.”
These advanced nuclear #reactors, known as #SMRs, are like mini nuclear power plants but touted as #cheaper, #safer, #faster to #build and #easier to #finance than their conventional counterparts — and #hype around them is rising fast.
