Amanda Cheng on “Cede” – “I am angry. Saying ‘you don’t know who I am’ in Taiwanese Hokkien is to say ‘you don’t get to tell me who I am.’ You don’t just scream like this to put on an album — you scream like this because it’s the only thing you can do. This song is an affront to the near-silent cultural genocide that’s taking place — the censorship, the militant threats — and the international community’s insistence on practicing diplomacy with economics at the front of mind. If it takes a loud song that’s half in an unfamiliar language for people to ask, “what’s that about?”, then so be it.

we’re going to publish this map to the web using various MapBox inventions. (...) Within the MBTiles file, the map legend, the tooltip template and information about map extent, zoom levels etc. is stored in a format named TileJSON. This is also an open specification, providing a consistent way of describing a map, making it easier to load and display a map the way it’s meant to be seen.

Deux autres solutions du même type :
This is a PHP implementation of the MBTiles specification. It is slightly more advanced than PHP-MBTiles-Server because it implements basic caching, improved error handling and adds support for meta data in the MBTiles database.
With this software you can set up a tile server using the MBTiles-file exported from TileMill on a server running Apache with PHP.
