    ▻https://wpformation.com/tout-savoir-sur-les-flux-rss-generes-par-wordpress

    Commentaires : ▻https://wpformation.com/comments/feed

A recent Twitter hack probably didn’t scare you. Here’s why it should. Kanye West, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Barack Obama were all feeling generous on the evening of July 16, according to their Twitter accounts, which offered to double any payments sent to them in bitcoin. Not really, of course ; they’d been hacked. Or, rather, Twitter itself had been hacked, and for apparently stupid reasons : The perpetrators stole and resold Twitter accounts and impersonated high-follower users to try to (...)

What Can Be Learned From The Gutenberg Accessibility Situation ? — Smashing Magazine
    ▻https://www.smashingmagazine.com/2018/12/gutenberg-accessibility-situation

The accessibility lead, Rian Rietveld, resigned in October, citing political and codebase issues.

The second thing is that Automattic set a hard deadline for WordPress 5’s release, regardless of whether accessibility issues were fixed or not.

You’ll probably find it shocking that a crowd funding campaign has been put together to get an accessibility audit done on Gutenberg.

The Gutenberg editor, which is a product of Automattic’s influence on WordPress who (as a company) were valued at over $1 Billion in 2014 are not paying for a much-needed accessibility audit. They are instead sitting back and waiting for everyone else to pay for it.Perhaps if accessibility was considered at the very start of the project, the process of creating, editing and moving blocks would be a lot simpler and thus, not a cognitive overload. The problem now is that accessibility is a fix rather than a core feature.

Over 30% of the world’s websites are powered by WordPress, yet 64% of developers participating in the 2017 Stack Overflow Developer Survey say they dread working with WordPress. Top reasons include security, bloat, bad user experience and that WordPress is built for outdated web architectures. If you are currently using WordPress, you probably share these feelings and know that technical bloat and slow page load speed detract from overall user experience.Cosmic JS is a drop-in replacement for WordPress, providing a web dashboard to create and manage content, and API tools and resources to integrate content into any new or existing website or app. In this blog I’ll demonstrate importing WordPress posts into Cosmic JS for integration into a new, modern application. ▻https://hackernoon.com/from-wordpress-to-jamstack-how-to-make-your-website-10x-faster-e363abc46

Performance matters. If you are familiar with JAMstack, the movement encourages avoiding server-side rendering completely in favor of pre-build, purely static HTML pages. By serving only JavaScript, APIs, and Markdown (JAM) over a CDN, a website’s performance is dramatically increased, making for a much better user experience. If you have an existing WordPress website, you may be familiar with slow page load. This can be due to server-side processes that occur prior to even getting to the HTML. If you are looking to make the switch to a better experience for your users, it might be time to switch to a JAMstack website. And making the switch may be easier than you think. In this tutorial we’re going to import existing WordPress content into a JAMstack website, deploy to Netlify, then (...)

Hosting Your Own Web ServerThis article requires that you have knowledge of #php and cURL.All Websites Need Web HostingIf you aren’t sure what web #hosting is — everything on the Internet usually needs a web host. To summarize: the Internet is the Earth. The websites on it are real estate and could be considered houses or commercial buildings, which can be defined with an IP address. The roads on it are the DNS routes. The browser is the car we all drive to visit those places. A web host is where your files are and how everyone finds your real estate on the web. A registrar helps with getting your address, an IP address, that you actually don’t ever really see — which resolves to a name for your website, and usually starts with www.(dot) and ends with (dot)com or another TLD (top level domain) (...)
