No directional antenna for triangulation ? Heatmap of geographically sampled signal strength is a pretty good alternative:

More important than the partial goals it reached, ISEE3 Reboot Project inspired public involvement in science: it fired up my interest in #radio and pushed me from just reading about it to actually using #RTL-SDR.
Results are good, but lighting fires in people’s heart is excellent !
