In the shadow of the ongoing war in Gaza, the Vatican’s annual Nativity scene paid homage to Palestinians with a display designed by artists from Bethlehem featuring a baby Jesus wrapped in a kaffiyeh and a Bethlehem Star with the inscription, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill to all people,” written in both Latin and Arabic.
