NTS explores the music produced at #Cold_Storage recording studios on Acre Lane, Brixton between 1979 and 1987; The former meat pie factory was initially used predominantly by This Heat as the post-punk outsiders’ recording studio. After the This Heat trio (Charles Bullen, Charles Hayward, Gareth Williams) disbanded, they would continue to run the studio space, creating a web of vital projects and artists now using the studio and practice space, ranging from Robert Wyatt to Adrian Sherwood, Tracey Thorn to Henry Cow.
This collection explores some of the music away from #This_Heat recordings that was recorded in the space during that time.
