Dichte Rauchschwaden stiegen am Freitag nachmittag bei pogromartigen Ausschreitungen gegen palästinensische Dörfer auf. Bis an die Zähne bewaffnete Siedlerhorden fielen in Al-Mughayyir, Al-Mazra‘a ash-Sharqiya, Khirbet Abu Falah, Turmus Ayya und weitere Orte, darunter auch Flüchtlingslager wie Al-Jalazoon, im Regierungsbezirk Ramallah, und Al-Bireh ein. Sie eröffneten das Feuer und warfen Steine auf die Bewohner, zündeten Häuser und Autos an. Angriffe gab es auch in der Umgebung von Nablus. »Kinder, Alte und andere Bewohner flohen aus Angst vor dem Terror und übernachteten in der Kälte in den Bergen«, berichtet ein palästinensischer Aktivist, der seit Jahren zivilgesellschaftlichen Widerstand gegen die Besatzung organisiert, aus Tubas gegenüber jW.

Sogar auf israelische Journalisten wurde Jagd gemacht. »Sie brachen mir die Finger und verbrannten meine Ausrüstung«, so Shaul Golan, ein Fotograf, der unter anderem für die Tageszeitung Jedi’ot Acharonot arbeitet, über Siedlerattacken in Duma. Die Angreifer warfen den 70jährigen Mann zu Boden, traten ihn gegen den Kopf und in den Magen. »Sie hatten Hass in ihren Augen«, sagt Golan. Als er israelische Soldaten um Hilfe rief, musste er feststellen, dass diese zu dem 20- bis 30-köpfigen Lynchmob gehörten. Kein Einzelfall. Dass die Siedler bei ihren Aktionen nicht mehr nur Rückendeckung von den Besatzungsstreitkräften bekommen, sondern mit diesen gemeinsam – häufig in IDF-Uniformen – agieren, wird seit Monaten verstärkt aus allen Teilen des Westjordanlands vermeldet.

Einige Bewohner von Orten, die von Siedlertrupps, später auch von regulären israelischen Einheiten umzingelt oder gestürmt wurden, verbreiteten via Smartphonevideos verzweifelte Aufrufe zum militanten Widerstand. In der Nacht zum Sonntag rissen Palästinenser ein von der Besatzerarmee nach dem 7. Oktober errichtetes Eisentor nieder. Sie stießen über die Straße von Al-Bireh in Nachbarorte vor, um diese gegen die Siedler zu verteidigen.

Bisher hat das Gesundheitsministerium der Palästinensischen Nationalbehörde zwei Tote registriert. Die Zahl der Verwundeten ist unbekannt, dürfte aber bei mehreren Hundert liegen – viele sollen Schussverletzungen erlitten haben. Die rechten Gewaltexzesse könnten sich in der gesamten Westbank wie ein Lauffeuer ausbreiten – die Siedler haben zum Sturm auf die Al-Aksa-Moschee in Jerusalem aufgerufen. »Die Angriffe sind geplant und organisiert, ihr eigentliches Ziel ist ethnische Säuberung«, meint Mustafa Barghouti, Generalsekretär der Palästinensischen Nationalen Initiative, der als Nachfolger vom Mahmud Abbas gehandelt wurde.

Zwar gibt es mit dem Tod eines 14jährigen israelischen Hirtenjungen aus der zionistischen Siedleraußenposten Malachi Hashalom in der Nähe von Ramallah, der mutmaßlich von Palästinensern ermordet wurde (der israelische Geheimdienst Schin Bet ermittelt noch), einen Anlass für die Eskalation, doch seit die ultrarechte Netanjahu-Regierung mit Beteiligung von fanatischen Kahanisten an der Macht ist, findet eine Entgrenzung der Siedlergewalt statt.

In Turmus Ayya gebe es wöchentlich Zwischenfälle, erklärte Lafe Shalapy, Bürgermeister des Dorfes im Interview mit jW. So hatte am 21. Juni 2023 ein Mob – den Anhängern der berüchtigten »Hügeljugend« zugerechneten – von 300 bis 400 Rechtsradikalen aus der benachbarten Siedlung Schilo 30 Häuser niedergebrannt, 60 Fahrzeuge abgefackelt, einen Mann erschossen und weitere 15 Bewohner verletzt. Er habe die zuständige israelische Polizei und Armee aufgefordert, die Gewalt zu stoppen. Aber statt die Zivilisten zu beschützen, hätten die Soldaten die Zufahrtswege blockiert und die Ambulanz und Feuerwehr an der Durchfahrt gehindert, so Shalapy. »Sie wollen uns das ganze Land wegnehmen, um darauf ihre Häuser zu bauen und Schilo auszuweiten.«

Am Sonntag nachmittag waren noch einige Dörfer von der Armee eingeschlossen. Die Siedlerbanden haben sich aber weitgehend zurückgezogen. »Das ist nur vorübergehend wegen des Drohnen- und Raketenangriffs aus dem Iran«, so die Einschätzung von Nasser Sharayaa, Generaldirektor des Exekutivbüros des Volkskomitees für Flüchtlinge gegenüber jW. »Die Lage ist nach wie vor schlimm.«

Germany will provide a one-time payment of $236 (€220) to Holocaust survivors, to help them cope with the impacts of the Hamas-led October 7 attacks in southern Israel.

Berlin will compensate 113,000 Holocaust survivors in Israel in the form of $27 million (€25 million), according to the German finance ministry.

“Many Holocaust survivors were hit particularly hard by the Hamas attacks, whether through the loss of their homes, support systems in the form of care,” a German finance ministry spokeswoman said.

The additional funds were aimed at helping the Holocaust survivors ”as quickly as possible (…) in this frightening and hopeless war situation,” the spokeswoman added.

The Hamas-led murderous rampage into southern Israel was the deadliest terror attack in Israel’s history, killing at least 1,200 people and abducting more than 250 others.

L’Iran a mené une attaque sans précédent contre Israël en lançant plus de 200 drones et missiles sur l’État Hébreu. Celui-ci s’est quant à lui félicité d’avoir « déjoué » l’attaque grâce à son système de défense aérien et l’aide de ses alliés. Au cœur de ce système : le fameux « Dôme de fer ».

C’est une attaque directe de l’Iran sans précédent. Plus de 200 drones et missiles lancés contre Israël, son ennemi juré. L’État hébreu s’est lui félicité d’avoir « déjoué » l’attaque en interceptant « 99 % des tirs » . Au cœur de son arsenal défensif : le « Dôme de fer ». Comment fonctionne ce parapluie qu’Israël utilise aussi contre les roquettes du Hamas ? On fait le point.
Un système performant

Le système de défense aérienne israélien « Dôme de fer » a intercepté des milliers de roquettes depuis sa mise en service en 2011, offrant une protection essentielle en période de conflit, rappelle l’AFP.

Il a été largement utilisé pour protéger les sites militaires et civils des tirs fréquents de roquettes en provenance de Gaza et du Liban dans le cadre de la guerre actuelle entre Israël et le mouvement islamiste palestinien Hamas.

Israël a d’abord développé seul le « Dôme de fer » après la guerre du Liban de 2006, avant d’être rejoint par les États-Unis, qui ont apporté leur savoir-faire en matière de défense et des milliards de dollars de soutien financier.

Le système a un taux d’interception d’environ 90 %, selon l’entreprise militaire israélienne Rafael, qui a participé à sa conception. Toutefois certains spécialistes remettent en question les chiffres fournis par Rafael.
Un système en trois parties

« Le Dôme de fer » est l’un des éléments du système israélien de défense antimissile à plusieurs niveaux. Il est conçu pour abattre des roquettes d’une portée allant jusqu’à 70 kilomètres, précise l’AFP.

Chaque batterie de ce « Dôme de fer » se compose de trois parties principales : un système de détection radar, un ordinateur qui calcule la trajectoire de la roquette entrante et un lanceur qui tire des intercepteurs si la roquette est susceptible de toucher une zone bâtie ou stratégique.

Il s’accompagne d’autres systèmes de défense antimissile tels que le système Arrow, destiné à contrer les missiles balistiques, et le système David’s Sling, dont l’objectif est de contrer les attaques de roquettes ou de missiles à moyenne portée.
Des tirs coûteux

La facture du Dôme de fer, pour laquelle les États-Unis contribuent largement, est salée. Chaque intercepteur du « Dôme de fer » coûte entre 40 000 et 50 000 dollars (37 500 à 46 900 €) à produire, selon le Centre d’études stratégiques et internationales, basé à Washington. Un système complet, comprenant le radar, l’ordinateur et trois ou quatre lanceurs - chacun contenant jusqu’à 20 intercepteurs - coûte environ 100 millions de dollars à produire.

Israël dispose de 10 systèmes de ce type, selon le groupe américain d’aéronautique et de défense RTX (ex-Raytheon), qui participe à la construction du « Dôme de fer ».

Selon d’autres estimations, ce chiffre est légèrement plus élevé.
Un système au cœur de l’alliance américano-israélienne

Le « Dôme de fer » est l’un des piliers stratégiques de l’alliance américano-israélienne, qui a été suivie par les administrations démocrates et républicaines successives.

En août 2019, l’armée américaine a signé un contrat pour l’achat de deux batteries de « Dôme de fer » afin de renforcer ses propres capacités de défense contre les missiles à courte portée.

Congratulations and heartfelt thanks for being here — despite the threats, despite the ironclad police outside this venue, despite the panoply of the German press, despite the German state, despite the German political system that demonizes you for being here.

“Why a Palestinian congress, Mr Varoufakis?” a German journalist asked me recently. Because, as Hanan Ashrawi once said, “we cannot rely on the silenced to tell us about their suffering.”

Today, Ashrawi’s reason has grown depressingly stronger, because we cannot rely on the silenced who are also massacred and starved to tell us about the massacres and the starvation.

But there is another reason, too: because a proud, decent people, the people of Germany, are led down a perilous road to a heartless society by being made to associate themselves with another genocide carried out in their name, with their complicity.

I am neither Jewish nor Palestinian. But I am incredibly proud to be here among Jews and Palestinians — to blend my voice for peace and universal human rights with Jewish voices for peace and universal human rights, with Palestinian voices for peace and universal human rights. Being together here today is proof that coexistence is not only possible — but that it is here already.

“Why not a Jewish congress, Mr Varoufakis?” the same German journalist asked me, imagining that he was being smart. I welcomed his question.

For if a single Jew is threatened, anywhere, just because she or he is Jewish, I shall wear the Star of David on my lapel and offer my solidarity — whatever the cost, whatever it takes.

So let’s be clear: if Jews were under attack, anywhere in the world, I would be the first to canvass for a Jewish congress in which to register our solidarity.

Similarly, when Palestinians are massacred because they are Palestinians — under a dogma that to be dead and Palestinian, they must have been Hamas — I shall wear my keffiyeh and offer my solidarity whatever the cost, whatever it takes.

Universal human rights are either universal or they mean nothing.

With this in mind, I answered the German journalist’s question with a few of my own:

Are two million Israeli Jews, who were thrown out of their homes and into an open-air prison eighty years ago, still being kept in that open-air prison, without access to the outside world, with minimal food and water, with no chance of a normal life or of traveling anywhere, while being bombed periodically for these eighty years? No.
Are Israeli Jews being starved intentionally by an army of occupation, their children writhing on the floor, screaming from hunger? No.
Are there thousands of Jewish injured children with no surviving parents crawling through the rubble of what used to be their homes? No.
Are Israeli Jews being bombed by the world’s most sophisticated planes and bombs? No.
Are Israeli Jews experiencing complete ecocide of what little land they can still call their own, with not one tree left under which they can seek shade or whose fruit they can taste? No.
Are Israeli Jewish children killed by snipers today at the orders of a member state of the United Nations (UN)? No.
Are Israeli Jews driven out of their homes by armed gangs today? No.
Is Israel fighting for its existence today? No.

If the answer to any of these questions were yes, I would be participating in a Jewish solidarity congress today.

Today, we would have loved to have a decent, democratic, mutually respectful debate on how to bring peace and universal human rights to everyone — Jews and Palestinians, Bedouins and Christians — from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea with people who think differently from us.

Sadly, the whole of the German political system has decided not to allow this. In a joint statement including not just the CDU-CSU (Christian Democratic Union–Christian Social Union in Bavaria) and the FDP (Free Democratic Party) but also the SPD (Social Democratic Party), the Greens, and, remarkably, two leaders of Die Linke (The Left), Germany’s political spectrum joined forces to ensure that such a civilized debate, in which we may disagree agreeably, never takes place in Germany.

I say to them: you want to silence us, to ban us, to demonize us, to accuse us. You therefore leave us with no choice but to meet your ridiculous accusations with our own rational accusations. You chose this, not us.

You accuse us of antisemitic hatred. We accuse you of being the antisemite’s best friend by equating the right of Israel to commit war crimes with the right of Israeli Jews to defend themselves.

You accuse us of supporting terrorism. We accuse you of equating legitimate resistance to an apartheid state with atrocities against civilians which I have always and will always condemn, whoever commits them — Palestinians, Jewish settlers, my own family, whoever. We accuse you of not recognizing the duty of the people of Gaza to tear down the wall of the open prison they have been encased in for eighty years — and of equating this act of tearing down the wall of shame, which is no more defensible than the Berlin Wall was, with acts of terror.

You accuse us of trivializing Hamas’s October 7 terror. We accuse you of trivializing the eighty years of Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and the erection of an ironclad apartheid system across Israel-Palestine. We accuse you of trivializing Benjamin Netanyahu’s long-term support of Hamas as a means of destroying the two-state solution that you claim to favor. We accuse you of trivializing the unprecedented terror unleashed by the Israeli army on the people of Gaza, the West Bank. and East Jerusalem.

You accuse the organizers of today’s congress of being, and I quote, “not interested in talking about possibilities for peaceful coexistence in the Middle East against the background of the war in Gaza.” Are you serious? Have you lost your mind?

We accuse you of supporting a German state that is, after the United States, the largest supplier of the weapons that the Netanyahu government uses to massacre Palestinians as part of a grand plan to make a two-state solution, and peaceful coexistence between Jews and Palestinians, impossible. We accuse you of never answering the pertinent question that every German must answer: How much Palestinian blood must flow before your justified guilt over the Holocaust is washed away?

So let’s be clear: we are here in Berlin with our Palestinian congress because, unlike the German political system and the German media, we condemn genocide and war crimes regardless of who is perpetrating them. Because we oppose apartheid in the land of Israel-Palestine no matter who has the upper hand — just as we opposed apartheid in the American South or in South Africa. Because we stand for universal human rights, freedom, and equality among Jews, Palestinians, Bedouins, and Christians in the ancient land of Palestine.

And so that we are even clearer on the questions, legitimate and malignant, that we must always be ready to answer:

Do I condemn Hamas’ atrocities?

I condemn every single atrocity, whoever is the perpetrator or the victim. What I do not condemn is armed resistance to an apartheid system designed as part of a slow-burning but inexorable ethnic-cleansing program. Put differently, I condemn every attack on civilians while, at the same time, I celebrate anyone who risks their life to tear down the wall.

Is Israel not engaged in a war for its very existence?

No, it is not. Israel is a nuclear-armed state with perhaps the most technologically advanced army in the world and the panoply of the US military machine at its back. There is no symmetry with Hamas, a group that can cause serious damage to Israelis but has no capacity whatsoever to defeat Israel’s military, or even to prevent Israel from continuing to implement the slow genocide of Palestinians under the system of Apartheid that has been erected with long-standing US and European Union support.

Are Israelis not justified to fear that Hamas wants to exterminate them?

Of course they are! Jews have suffered a Holocaust that was preceded by pogroms and a deep-seated antisemitism permeating Europe and the Americas for centuries. It is only natural that Israelis live in fear of a new pogrom if the Israeli army folds. However, by imposing apartheid on their neighbors and by treating them like subhumans, the Israeli state is stoking the fires of antisemitism and strengthening Palestinians and Israelis who just want to annihilate each other. In the end, its actions contribute to the awful insecurity consuming Jews in Israel and the diaspora. Apartheid against the Palestinians is the Israelis’ worst self-defense.

What about antisemitism?

It is always a clear and present danger. And it must be eradicated, especially amongst the ranks of the global left and the Palestinians fighting for Palestinian civil liberties around the world.

Why don’t Palestinians pursue their objectives by peaceful means?

They did. The PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) recognized Israel and renounced armed struggle. And what did they get for it? Absolute humiliation and systematic ethnic cleansing. That is what nurtured Hamas and elevated it the eyes of many Palestinians as the only alternative to a slow genocide under Israel’s apartheid.

What should be done now? What might bring Peace to Israel-Palestine?

An immediate cease-fire.
The release of all hostages — Hamas’s and the thousands held by Israel.
A peace process, under the UN, supported by a commitment from the international community to end apartheid and to safeguard equal civil liberties for all.
As for what must replace apartheid, it is up to Israelis and Palestinians to decide between the two-state solution and the solution of a single federal secular state.

Friends, we are here because vengeance is a lazy form of grief.

We are here to promote not vengeance but peace and coexistence across Israel-Palestine.

We are here to tell German democrats, including our former comrades of Die Linke, that they have covered themselves in shame long enough — that two wrongs do not one right make — and that allowing Israel to get away with war crimes is not going to ameliorate the legacy of Germany’s crimes against the Jewish people.

Beyond today’s congress, we have a duty in Germany to change the conversation. We have a duty to persuade the vast majority of decent Germans out there that universal human rights are what matters. That never again means never again for anyone. Jewish, Palestinian, Ukrainian, Russian, Yemeni, Sudanese, Rwandan — for everyone, everywhere.

In this context, I am pleased to announce that DiEM25’s German political party MERA25 will be on the ballot paper in the European Parliament election this coming June — seeking the vote of German humanists who crave a member of European Parliament representing Germany and calling out the EU’s complicity in genocide, a complicity that is Europe’s greatest gift to the antisemites in Europe and beyond.

I salute you all and suggest we never forget that none of us is free if one of us is in chains.

Dans une lettre envoyée au ministre de la Défense, au ministre de la Santé et au procureur-général d’Israël, un médecin de l’hôpital de campagne installé au centre de détention Sde Teiman pour les Gazaouis arrêtés décrit les conditions dont il dit qu’elles peuvent compromettre la santé des prisonniers et qu’elles font courir au gouvernement le risque de violer la loi.

« Rien que cette semaine, deux prisonniers ont eu leurs jambes amputées à cause de blessures causées par les entraves, ce qui est malheureusement un événement courant », a déclaré le médecin dans la lettre. Il a dit que les prisonniers étaient nourris avec des pailles, déféquaient dans des couches et étaient maintenus en contention constante, ce qui viole l’éthique médicale et la loi.

Le centre Sde Teiman a été établi immédiatement après le déclenchement de la guerre de Gaza pour détenir les terroristes du Hamas, dont ceux qui ont pris part aux atrocités du 7 octobre, jusqu’à ce qu’ils puissent être déplacés dans une prison normale. (...)

The Nicaraguan legal delegation has finalised its remarks after a more than two-hour session at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the Hague, in which it presented its case against Germany.

Nicaragua has accused Germany of facilitating Israel’s genocide in Gaza, since the war broke out on 7 October. It called upon the ICJ to order provisional measures ordering Germany to halt its military support to Israel and resume its funding to Unrwa.

In 2023, Germany provided military support to Israel worth 327 million euros ($354m), according to its Economy Ministry.

Nicaragua has accused Germany of breaking the 1948 Genocide Convention by continously supplying Israel with arms, even after the ICJ has ruled that it is “plausible” that Israel has committed acts of genocide in Gaza.

Germany, which is Israel’s second largest arms provider to Israel after the US, is due to defend itself tomorrow at the ICJ.

3.4.2024 - Gaza (dpo) - Heldenhafte Piloten der israelischen Streitkräfte haben in dieser Woche einen entscheidenden Sieg im Kampf gegen internationale Hilfsorganisationen errungen. Bei einem Angriff in Deir al-Balah im Zentrum des Gazastreifens gelang es am Montag, sieben Helfer der Organisation „World Central Kitchen“ (WCK) mit gezielten Schlägen aus der Luft auszuschalten.

Die WCK-Mitarbeiter befanden sich im Gazastreifen, um die dortige Zivilbevölkerung mit Essen zu versorgen. Der Angriff des israelischen Militärs wurde dadurch erleichtert, dass die drei Fahrzeuge des Konvois deutlich markiert waren und die Fahrt zuvor angekündigt worden war.

Es ist nicht der erste Erfolg Israels im Kampf gegen den internationalen Altruismus: Laut Angaben der UN und des Weißen Hauses hat das israelische Militär seit Beginn des Krieges nach den Anschlägen der Hamas vom 7. Oktober mehr als 200 Mitarbeiter von Hilfsorganisationen getötet.

Trotz dieses neuerlichen Sieges bleibt es jedoch weiterhin fraglich, ob Israel den Kampf gegen die Hilfsorganisationen am Ende auch gewinnen wird. Schließlich stehen die Streitkräfte seit Beginn des Krieges unter Doppelbelastung, da sie parallel auch tausende Zivilisten besiegen mussten.

Le déni obsessionnel règne - à Berlin l’assemblée citoyenne (Bezirksverirdnetenversammlung) de l’arrondissement de Neukölln essaie d’imposer un pamphlet qui défend la thèse du pays sans peuple pour un peuple sans pays à l’enseignement scolaire. Comme par hasard Neukölln est la résidence de la plus grande communauté palestinienne d’Allemagne. On va emcore s’amuser avec ces amis de l’état sioniste.

Die Bezirksverordnetenversammlung, kurz BVV, von Berlin-Neukölln hatte am 21. Februar beschlossen, die Broschüre »Mythos#Israel 1948« an Schulen einsetzen zu lassen. Bei einer BVV-Sitzung vor zwei Wochen war sie erneut Thema. Worum ging es zuletzt?

Wir haben als Linksfraktion nachgefragt, ob diese Broschüre tatsächlich vom Bezirksamt beworben wird. Zweitens wollten wir wissen, ob das Amt der Meinung ist, dass die Benennung des israelischen Landraubs »antisemitisch« sei, wie in der Broschüre behauptet wird. Die Antwort war, dass man das in der Tat so sehe. Daraufhin habe ich nachgefragt, ob noch auf andere Weise die rechte Landraubpolitik durch das Bezirksamt unterstützt wird und ob sich die Bezirksstadträtin Karin Korte an das Völkerrecht gebunden fühlt.

Wie lautete die Antwort?

Auf die Frage nach der Unterstützung des Landraubs durch die Berliner Behörde sagte sie »nein«, aber sie sei »auch nicht die Außenministerin«. Ob sie sich an das Völkerrecht gebunden fühlt, wollte sie nicht beantworten. Vielleicht hatte sie Angst.

Ihre Fraktion fordert, die Verbreitung und Nutzung der Broschüre zu verhindern. Warum?

Die Broschüre »Mythos#Israel 1948« liest sich so, als ob sie von den rechtesten israelischen Politikern geschrieben worden sei. Die Nakba, also die Katastrophe der Palästinenser im Zuge der israelischen Staatsgründung mit der Vertreibung von Hunderttausenden und Entrechtung, die bis heute andauert, wird geleugnet. Die Gewalt, die während der Nakba gegen Palästinenser ausgeübt wurde, wird verharmlost. Organisationen wie die terroristische »Hagana«, die zahlreiche Massaker beging und später in die israelische Armee eingegliedert wurde, werden als ganz normale Organisation dargestellt. Das ist ein reines Propagandapapier!

Wer hat die Texte verfasst?

Der Text kommt von Masiyot e. V., einem »gemeinnützigen« Verein. Die Leute dort kommen aus einem politischen Spektrum, wo Palästinenser nur als Störfaktoren behandelt werden. Die Berliner Landeszentrale für politische Bildung hat das Projekt gefördert, auf Nachfrage aber zugegeben, dass sie den Inhalt gar nicht geprüft habe. Trotzdem wird es für die Bildungsarbeit empfohlen …

Was ist an dieser Broschüre so empfehlenswert?

Die Diskussion in Schulen soll dahingehend beeinflusst werden, dass die völkerrechtswidrige Besiedlung palästinensischen Landes normalisiert wird. Die CDU hatte den Antrag gestellt, diese Broschüre sowohl bei diversen Jugendeinrichtungen zu benutzen, als auch in den Schulen. Der Jugendhilfeausschuss hat diese Broschüre abgelehnt, weil sie so unausgewogen ist.

Was die BVV nicht davon abgehalten hatte, ihre Empfehlung auszusprechen.

In der BVV haben die SPD und die CDU dafür gestimmt, sie trotzdem für Schulen zu empfehlen. Der Bürgermeister ist sowieso ganz stark dafür. Die Linke war dagegen.

Ist es Usus, dass die BVV festlegt, welche Materialien an Schulen verwendet werden?

Nein, so etwas hat es noch nie gegeben. Ich bin jetzt seit 2016 Bezirksverordneter. In diesen acht Jahren, gab keinen einzigen Versuch, derart Einfluss auf die Bildung in den Schulen zu nehmen. Allein bei dem Thema Palästina–Israel ist das der Fall. Das werte ich als Unterstützung der völkerrechtswidrigen israelischen Besatzung und der aktuellen ethnischen Säuberungen. Zudem steht der Text konträr zum Völkerrecht.

Wie geht es in der Sache jetzt weiter?

Ob die Schulen die Broschüre wirklich verwenden, ist noch unklar. Wir werden dagegen protestieren und versuchen, in den Schulen aufzuklären. Auch die Neuköllner Schüler und Eltern sind sehr aufgebracht und sauer, dass solche geschichtsverfälschenden Behauptungen in den Schulen verbreitet werden sollen. Viele Lehrer und Schüler sind auf uns zugekommen, als sie von dem Vorgang erfahren haben, und haben sich darüber beschwert, dass solch ein Unsinn offiziell verbreitet werden soll. Besonders vor dem Hintergrund des aktuellen Krieges gegen die Zivilbevölkerung im Gazastreifen ist es eine Schande, wie sich das Bezirksamt von Berlin-Neukölln verhält.
