Hank Williams, Jr. - « Georgia Women »
▻https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnTzjuQRUu0

Leo Bud Welch, the deceased delta #bluesman, spent his life honing his musical craft. The Mississippi native and 30-year lumberjack performed as a gospel singer in his small hometown for years before he made his first record when he was in his seventies. The influence of the region he called home, his years of musicianship, and his well-lived life blended together to create music that is as unique as he is. Produced by Dan Auerbach at Easy Eye Sound studios in Nashville, TN with performances by Richard Swift.

In 1991, Jonathan Kane (co-founder of the Swans) and Dave Soldier discovered for themselves the fife-and-drum music of north Mississippi, and formed the #Kropotkins, a band that introduced #punk_blues, using rickety banjo, bass drum, snare, and fiddle (Mark Feldman and later Charlie Burnham, of James Blood Ulmer Trio) and slide guitar (Dog from John Cale and Siouxsie and the Banshees). The Kropotkins feature singer #Lorette_Velvette from Memphis (HellCats, Jessie Mae Hemphill) and formerly classic punk drummer, Mo Tucker (Georgia, USA) of the Velvet Underground, and Samm Bennett (Tokyo) and now Alex Greene (The Reigning Sound).
