• I’m witnessing the deliberate starvation of Gaza’s children – why is the world letting it happen? - Nick Maynard
    https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2025/jul/22/gaza-israel-deliberate-starvation-ceasefire-aid

I’m hearing about dozens of trauma casualties flooding Gaza’s emergency departments daily – many of them with gunshot wounds from these militarised distribution points. I have operated on boys aged 12 to 15, whose relatives say they were shot while trying to get food for their families. Last week a 12-year-old died on the operating table, shot through the abdomen at what can only be described as a death trap for those seeking basic sustenance.

My colleagues in the emergency department have also reported a disturbing pattern: injuries concentrated on specific body parts on different days – heads, legs, genitals – suggesting deliberate targeting of those body parts.

In recent days, I operated on two women who were shot by quadcopters while sheltering in their tents near one of the locations, according to the people who brought them in. One was breastfeeding her child when she was hit; the second was pregnant. Thankfully, both have survived their injuries so far. These women weren’t even seeking aid – they were simply sheltering in areas that are supposedly “safe” but exposed to indiscriminate fire from the IDF’s weaponised hunger apparatus.

      https://seenthis.net/messages/1021230#message1021232

      https://seenthis.net/messages/1003524

      https://seenthis.net/messages/1127300

Israel’s plan for the ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip is proceeding apace, maybe even better than expected. In addition to significant achievements in systematic killing and destruction already chalked up, the last few days have seen one more critical achievement: the deliberate starvation has started to yield results.
The effects of this policy are spreading rapidly, felling victims in numbers that do not lag behind the number of deaths caused by shelling. People who don’t die while waiting for food have a good chance of succumbing to hunger.

The weapon of deliberate starvation is working. The Gaza “Humanitarian” Foundation, in turn, has become a tragic success. Not only have hundreds of Gazans been shot to death while waiting in line for packages distributed by the GHF, but there are others who don’t manage to reach the distribution points, dying of hunger. Most of these are children and babies.
On Wednesday alone, 15 people died of hunger, including three children and a six-week-old baby. One hundred and two have died since the war began, including 80 children, with the graph on the upswing in recent days.

      - If Israel doesn’t stop shooting hungry Gazans, it will be guilty of genocide
      - An American doctor visited Gaza and saw the horror up close. Five cases haunt her
      - Israeli disregard for the deaths in Gaza cannot obscure the magnitude of the horrors

The pictures hidden from the public by Israel’s criminal local media, whose lack of coverage of Gaza will never be forgotten or forgiven, are seen by the rest of the world. These are pictures reminiscent of concentration camp survivors, pictures from the Holocaust. Concealing them is akin to denial of the phenomenon.

The skeletons of babies and infants, living and dead, whose bones stick out through wasted fat tissue or muscles that have withered, their eyes and mouths opened wide, their expressions dead.

They lie on hospital floors, on bare beds, or carried on donkey carts. These are pictures from hell. In Israel, many people reject these photos, doubting their veracity. Others express their joy and pride on seeing starving babies. Yes, this too is what has become of us.

Turning deliberate starvation into a legitimate and acceptable weapon among Israelis, whether through open support or through chilling indifference, is the most demonic stage so far in the war Israel has launched on the Gaza Strip.

It is also the only one for which one cannot invent any justification, excuses or explanations. Even Israel’s boundless propaganda apparatus can’t manage to find any. Starvation has become a legitimate weapon since it is another means for attaining the objective: ethnic cleansing.

One has to internalize this fact and view the continuation of the war in this light. Just as Israel benefits from the deaths caused by gunfire, it also gains from the hunger that kills hundreds. Only thus will it be possible to turn Gaza into a place that is unlivable, and only thus will its residents leave “willingly,” first to the “humanitarian” city, and from there to Libya, or God knows where.

Starvation is now visible on everyone. Palestinian journalists in Gaza who have not yet been shot to death by the IDF report that they have not eaten a thing for two or three days.

Even physicians from overseas spoke on Wednesday about what they had eaten, mainly what they hadn’t eaten. A Canadian doctor at the Nasser Hospital said that in the preceding two days she had only eaten one tiny bowl of lentils. She will not be able to continue caring for the sick and wounded this way. That too is good for Israel.

A team from Al-Jazeera accompanied a young man who went in search of food for his children. He searched and searched, until he found two bags of Israeli flour and a bottle of oil at a market stall. The price was hundreds of shekels a bag, and he returned home empty-handed, to his starving children. The TV studio then gave details of the three stages leading to death by starvation. This man’s children were at the second stage.

This deliberate starvation has turned this war into the most horrific of Israel’s wars, certainly the most criminal of them. We have never starved two million people this way.

However, there is only one thing that is worse than deliberate starvation: the indifference with which it is received in Israel. An hour and a half away by car from the location in which another baby, Yussef al-Safadi, died on Wednesday. His family couldn’t find any milk substitute for him.

While he died, Channel 12 was broadcasting a cooking show, and the ratings were excellent.

      https://www.haaretz.com/opinion/2025-07-20/ty-article/.premium/its-clear-israel-now-has-a-plan-for-the-ethnic-cleansing-of-palestinians-from-gaza/00000198-2456-d55c-a1be-7efe76860000

      https://archive.ph/bJsif

Someone conceived it, there were discussions of pros and cons, alternatives were suggested, and all done in air-conditioned conference rooms. For the first time since the war of revenge in Gaza began, it’s clear that Israel has a plan – and it’s a far-reaching one

Adolf Eichmann began his Nazi career as the head of the Central Agency for Jewish Emigration at the security agency charged with protecting the Reich. Joseph Brunner, the father of Mossad chief David Barnea, was three years old when he fled Nazi Germany with his parents, before the evacuation plan was implemented.

Last week, Barnea, the grandson, visited Washington in order to discuss the “evacuation” of the Gaza Strip’s population. Barak Ravid reported on Channel 12 News that Barnea told his interlocutors that Israel has already begun talks with three countries on this issue, and the irony of history hid its face in shame. A grandson of a refugee of ethnic cleansing in Germany discusses ethnic cleansing, and no memory comes to mind.

In order to “evacuate” two million people from their country, you need a plan. Israel has been working on one. The first stage involves transferring much of the population into a concentration camp in order to facilitate an efficient deportation.

Last week, the BBC published an investigative report based on satellite photos, showing systematic destruction carried out by the IDF across the Gaza Strip. Village after village is being wiped off the face of the earth, which is being flattened for the sake of constructing the concentration camp, so that life in Gaza will no longer be possible.

Preparations for the first Israeli concentration camp are in full swing. Systematic destruction is proceeding throughout the enclave so that there is nowhere to return to other than the concentration camp.

In order to carry out this work, bulldozers are required. The BBC presented two wanted ads. One described “a project involving the demolition of buildings in Gaza requires (40-ton) bulldozer operators. The job includes payment of 1,200 shekels ($357) a day, including food and lodging, with an option of obtaining a private vehicle.” The second ad said that “work hours are Sunday to Thursday, from 7 A.M. to 4:45 P.M., with excellent working conditions.”

Israel is quietly perpetrating a crime against humanity. Not a house here and a house there, no “operational necessities,” but a systematic elimination of any chance of life there, while preparing the infrastructure for concentrating people in a “humanitarian” city intended to be a transit camp – before deportation to Libya, Ethiopia and Indonesia, the destinations Barnea specified, according to Channel 12.

That is the plan for the ethnic cleansing of Gaza. Someone conceived it, there were discussions of pros and cons, alternatives were suggested, options of total cleansing vs. stages, and all done in air-conditioned conference rooms with minutes taken and decisions made. For the first time since the war of revenge in Gaza began, it’s clear that Israel has a plan – and it’s a far-reaching one.

This is no longer a rolling war. One can no longer accuse Benjamin Netanyahu of waging a war with no purpose. There is a purpose to this war, and it’s a criminal one. One can no longer tell army commanders that their troops are dying for no reason: They are dying in a war of ethnic cleansing.

The ground is ready, one can move to the transfer of people, the want ads are on their way. After moving the population is completed, and the residents of the humanitarian city start missing their lives among the ruins, amid hunger, disease and bombing, it will be possible to move to the final stage: forcible placement on trucks and planes en route to the new and longed-for homeland – Libya, Indonesia or Ethiopia.

If the humanitarian aid enterprise took the lives of hundreds of people, the deportation will take the lives of tens of thousands. But nothing will block Israel on its way to realizing its plan.

Yes, there is a plan, and it’s more diabolical than it appears to be. At some point, people sat down and concocted this plot. It would be naïve to think that all this happened on its own. In 50 years, the minutes will be released, and we will learn who was in favor and who opposed this plan. Who thought of perhaps leaving one hospital intact.

Along with the officers and politicians, there were also engineers, architects, demographers and people from the budget division. Maybe there were representatives from the Health Ministry. We will find out all in 50 years.

Meanwhile, the head of the Central Agency for Palestinian Emigration, David Barnea, has implemented an additional stage. He is an obedient senior official, having never caused friction with those above him. Does that sound familiar? He is the hero of the campaign for mass amputations through walkie-talkies. If you send him to save hostages, he goes. If you send him to prepare the deportation of millions of people? Not a problem for him. After all, he is only obeying orders.
