Two women have testified that they were sexually assaulted by Peres, including former Knesset member Colette Avital.
In an interview with Haaretz in 2021, Avital testified that Peres sexually assaulted her as she was leaving the Prime Minister’s office. “He suddenly pinned me to the door and tried to kiss me,” she said. “’People will gossip about us,’ I blurted out, as part of some kind of ironic instinct, as I pushed him away.”
