Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital trust has told patients that they can no longer have sandwiches or salads because their sandwich supplier will not accept payments being deferred until April.

NHS trusts are supposed to meet a national standard - known as the - better payment practice code - of paying 95 per cent of bills within 30 days.
But across the country, NHS trusts are delaying payments, in an attempt to push it into the next financial year.
West Hertfordshire Hospitals Trust paid just 9 per cent of its invoices within 30 days during November, board reports show.
