Currently, around 85 percent of Lebanon’s waste goes to open dumps or landfills, despite findings by researchers at the American University of Beirut that just over 10 percent of all waste cannot be recycled or composted.

Et le mélange ordures à ciel ouvert qui « glissent » dans la mer et déverdement des eaux usées dont 100% finissent aussi dans la mer est particulièrement effrayant. Nous avons exploré en bateau il y a une semaine les environs des décharged au nord de Beyrouth, je n’en suis toujours pas remis.
