On Monday, [Khaled] Daher said in a press conference that some security bodies are acting like “Shabeeha” (thugs) and are assaulting citizens and their dignity. He added that at later date he will reveal intelligence figures concerning acts of abuse and torture against certain people.
An unnamed military source said in remarks published Friday that Daher “was wanted” by the Lebanese army before being elected as an MP, adding that he would have been arrested if he had not received parliamentary immunity.
