Katharina König-Preuss is a lawmaker and a prominent anti-fascism activist. She publicizes what she finds online, making her a target for Germany’s far right. In speaking with correspondent Evan Williams, König-Preuss said she doesn’t trust the police: “If anything, I’m scared of the police.” She told Williams her fears stem from scandals providing evidence that far-right extremists have infiltrated the German police and military.
