Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli occupation authorities decided to release the Palestinian pregnant detainee in Israeli jails Anhar al-Deek who is in her ninth month with a 40-thousand-shekel bail and house arrest.

The Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and ex-Detainees’ Affairs said on Thursday that the occupation authorities accepted to release the 25-year-old Anhar al-Deek, who is due to give birth any moment in the coming few days, with a 40-thousand-shekel bail (around USD 12,500) and house arrest in her family house, which is clearly an incomplete freedom.

Anhar, from Kafr Ni’ma town in Ramallah, was supposed to give birth while she is still held inside the Israeli jails and she needs proper medical care, as she suffers from bipolar depression.

The occupation authorities also decided for her to have a C-Section surgery while she is handcuffed.

Many vigils and campaigns were organized demanding the immediate release of Anhar and all the female prisoners who are held in the Israeli jails under harsh imprisonment conditions.

Anhar said she can’t imagine giving birth to her baby inside her detention cell which is not suitable for humans, not only babies.

Anhar also expressed her fears about having her baby grow up in detention. Anhar also has another daughter called Julia. (...)

  • Turkey transfers Ottoman archives to the PA to counter “Israel’s” land claims - Quds News Network

Ankara (QNN) – Turkey has given a copy of Ottoman-era archived documents to the Palestinian Authority (PA) to help Palestinians legally counter the Israeli occupation’s land claims, according to Hebrew news sources.

The archives include tens of thousands of land registries from the Palestinian territories under the Ottoman Empire’s control between the years 1516 to 1917.

“Lawyers from the PA are already using the materials in the archive, in order to undermine Israel’s claim on land around Israel,” and especially in occupied Jerusalem and West Bank, according to “Israel National News.”

Turkish authorities delivered the archives to representatives of the PA in Ankara last year and a part of the archives was later transferred to Bethlehem.

Though the documents in the archives have the potential to shake up the occupation state’s real estate market, nothing has happened so far, it said.

But lawyers from Jerusalem’s Arab neighbourhoods are regularly turning to the archive to find documents that help them in legal battles over claims to many properties, mostly in the Jerusalem area, “Israel National News” said.

Gaza (QNN)- 55 peaceful protesters were reportedly wounded today during Israeli repression of Gaza’s weekly protest in eastern Rafah in southern Gaza on its 74th week.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that its medical teams have dealt with 55 injuries, 29 of which were by live bullets.

Thousands of peaceful protesters flocked to the borders of Gaza to protest under the title “remove Oslo accords from our history” and demanded to end the Israeli siege on Gaza and allow refugees to go back to their homes and lands, from which they were expelled in 1948.

Local sources said that Israeli forces, stationed behind earthen berms and inside military towers opened fire at protesters and showered them with tear gas.
