Nouvelles explications concernant le canal Mer Rouge-Mer Morte
The government on Monday said that part of the water produced by its planned Red Sea desalination project will be sold to Israel in return for nearly 50 million cubic metres of drinking water from the Tiberias reservoir annually.

Under the first phase of the JRSP, the ministry was planning to convey water from the Red Sea through pipelines to a desalination facility in Aqaba. Water generated from the plant was going to be distributed to the port city and surrounding development projects.
En raison du contexte budgétaire jordanien, le mégaprojet de canal Mer Rouge-Mer Morte, destiné à limiter la baisse du niveau de cette dernière, est pour l’instant limité à un premier volet visant seulement à alimenter la ville d’Aqaba et ses mégaprojets touristiques.
