Updated: On Thursday morning, a Palestinian man driving a small truck west of Ramallah drove into a group of Israeli soldiers walking on the road. One of the soldiers was killed, five were wounded, including three soldiers, and a Palestinian worker who was at the bus stop was also injured. In addition, two people in another vehicle were slightly injured when the truck hit their car, before the soldiers fatally shot him.

— Update 2: Israeli daily Haaretz said the army identified the slain soldier as Sgt. Maxim Molchanov added that he was seriously injured before succumbing to his wounds. Maxin immigrated to Israel from Ukraine to Israel in the year 2017.

Haaretz also said that two other soldiers sustained mild wounds, adding that two Israeli citizens in a nearby car and a 15-year-old Palestinian child were also injured.

The driver drove away and was apprehended at another checkpoint several kilometers down the road. Several soldiers at that checkpoint drew their weapons and shot the driver, killing him.

The driver of the vehicles has been identified as Daoud Abdul-Razeq Daras, a 41-year -old father of five who was working in Israel and driving back to the West Bank when the collision occurred. Daoud was from Deir Ammar town, northwest of Ramallah.

Israeli Ynet News said the Palestinian “entered Israel on foot at 5:55 in the early morning using his work permit and then boarded a truck with an Israeli license plate.

The Maan News Agency quoted the Israeli Army Radio stating that further investigations revealed that the Palestinian driver was assaulted by Israeli soldiers at a military roadblock seven kilometers away two weeks ago.

Israeli occupation police shot and killed, on Wednesday evening, a Palestinian child, at a light rail station near the Damascus Gate (Bab al-Amoud), in occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank after an alleged stabbing attack.

Hebrew sources claimed that the Palestinian child stabbed an illegal Israeli settler in the “Al-Musrara” neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem before security officers and settlers attacked him at the light rail station.

Israeli police arrived at the scene, and rather than taking the child into custody, a police officer shot him at a close range and failed to provide him with medical treatment, causing him to bleed to death.

Also, Israeli police officers assaulted Palestinian journalists who attempted to approach the scene to provide media coverage.

Israeli settlers were shown on social media videos attacking vehicles at the scene and applauding the killing of the Palestinian child.

Furthermore, the soldiers prevented local Palestinians from approaching the home of the slain child, which sparked protests among local Palestinian youths, who burned rubber tires.

The slain child has been officially identified as Khaled Samer Al-Za’anin, 14 ; shortly after his death, the army invaded and destroyed the contents of his family home, and caused injuries to members of his family, in the Beit Hanina neighborhood, north of occupied East Jerusalem.

Soldiers fired rubber-coated steel rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters at local citizens and at the home of the slain child, causing inhalation injuries.

Later it was reported that occupation forces abducted the father, mother, brother, and sister of the slain child.

A Palestinian young man succumbed, on Friday, to wounds he sustained during the military assault on the Jenin refugee camp, on July 3, 2023, local sources reported.

On Monday, the Palestinian youth Ezz El-Din Kanaan, 20, from the village of Jaba’, southwest of Jenin, died as a result of a gunshot wound in the head, which he sustained on July 3, 2023, during the Israeli military offensive against the Jenin refugee camp.

Media sources said that the young man was on his way to donate blood for the victims of the aggression, when an Israeli sharpshooter shot him in the head.

It was announced that the funeral for the slain young man will be held on Saturday, after the noon prayer.

On July 2-4, 2023, Israeli forces conducted a brutal two-day military assault on the Jenin refugee camp, in the northern occupied West Bank, which left 13 Palestinians dead, and injured 140.

During the attack, the army fired missiles into the refugee camp, deliberately levelled roads and damaged infrastructure, causing destruction of homes, and forcing the displacement of approximately 3,500 people.

On Tuesday morning, just before dawn, Israeli troops shot and killed 17-year old Othman Atef Abu Kharj, shooting him with live ammunition in the head and shoulder during an invasion of the town of Zababda, south of Jenin, in the northern West Bank.

Abu Kharj was one of a group of youth that confronted the invading army at the entrance to their village, shouting slogans and throwing stones.

Invading Israeli soldiers shot the youth with multiple live rounds. He was taken to the Al-Razi Hospital in Jenin, where he was declared dead by hospital officials after doctors were unable to save his life.

Fawaz Hammad, director of the Al-Razi Hospotal, told the Palestinian Wafa News Agency that the child, Othman Atef Abu Kharj (17 years old) , died of injuries he sustained at dawn, during the clashes that erupted after the invasion of the town.

The Israeli occupation forces also abducted the young man, Yazan Malik Al-Sharqawi, after raiding his family’s house and the homes of his relatives in the town of Al-Zababda.

According to ‘Visit Palestine’, the village of Zababda is home to about 3,000 inhabitants and is the only majority-Christian village in the northern West Bank.

Ruins found under the village show settlement dating to the Byzantine times. At the convent of the Rosary Sisters, a 6th century mosaic, as well as remnants of columns indicates that there was once a significant Byzantine church on the site. In the center of the village the remains of a Byzantine-Roman building, known as the Baubariya, can be found.

The modern village of Zababda was founded in the 17th century. Within the village there are four small churches belonging to the Catholic, Anglican, Melkite, and Greek Orthodox denominations. The village is also home to the Arab American University of Jenin.

Update: As of Monday morning, the Israeli military has continued the closure of the entire area around Huwara as its soldiers continue to search for the perpetrator of Saturday’s shooting. The military arrested the owner of the car wash where the attack took place, although there is no indication that he was involved in any way. The army has not identified the perpetrator of Saturday’s shooting, but they have locked down all of the nearby villages and towns and have installed additional checkpoints and raided homes and cars in the area.

On Saturday night, Israeli colonial settlers rampaged in the town of Huwara, throwing rocks at Palestinian pedestrians and vehicles and setting fires, in a scene that brought back memories of the Israeli settler riots in February, in which hundreds of Palestinian homes and cars were burned by Israeli paramilitary settlers. During the February riots, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that he wanted Huwara to be ‘wiped off the map’, saying it was a ‘hotbed for terrorists’.

In the pre-dawn hours on Sunday morning, Israeli forces stationed in Huwara shot and wounded a masked Israeli paramilitary settler who had been throwing objects at vehicles on Route 60 – a road traveled by both Israeli colonial settlers and indigenous Palestinians.

A 40-year-old Israeli woman was shot and killed while driving near the Palestinian city of al-Khalil, in the southern part of the West Bank. Another passenger in the vehicle, an adult male, was wounded, while a six-year old child in the car was uninjured.

Israeli military sources issued a statement claiming that they believed the two Israelis were shot from a passing vehicle by an unknown assailant.

Israeli forces closed all Palestinian roads in the area, and implemented checkpoints, causing serious travel delays for the Palestinian population of the southern West Bank.

The wounded man was taken to Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva, and, according to medical sources, is in serious condition.

Palestinian medical sources have confirmed, Saturday, the death of a young man whom Israeli soldiers shot and seriously injured three days earlier in Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

The sources said that on Wednesday, August 16, the soldiers shot the young man, Mohammad Nasser Daoud Abu Assab, 19, with many live rounds, including to the head, chest, and abdomen, before Palestinian medics rushed him to the Najah Hospital in Nablus, where he succumbed to his serious wounds.

The Palestinian was shot after undercover Israeli soldiers infiltrated the refugee camp and surrounded a home, leading to protests and an exchange of fire with Palestinian fighters.

During the invasion, the soldiers stormed and ransacked many homes and buildings and detonated the home of Abdullah Abu Shallal, in addition to the headquarters of the Fateh movement.

At the time, the soldiers shot at least three other Palestinians with live fire, including one whom the soldiers abducted, and caused more than 85 Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

Israeli forces executed, on Thursday morning, a Palestinian man and destroyed his home, injured two others, and detained two, during a military assault on the northern occupied West Bank city of Jenin, the Ministry of Health confirmed.

Israeli special forces invaded, on Thursday morning, followed by a large army force, in the roundabout area, in the Old City of Jenin, in the northern West Bank.

Local Palestinians protested the military incursion, and armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the attacking army.

It is important to note that the occupation army announced that one of its soldiers sustained minor injuries during the confrontations, and was transported to hospital.

During the military assault, Israeli forces fired lived rounds and shot three Palestinians, one young man was shot with live rounds in the head, chest, and abdomen.

The death of the young man was confirmed by the Palestinian Ministry of Health who identified him as Mustafa al-Kastouni, 32 .

In a statement, the Ministry of Health announced that, “ Mustafa al-Kastouni, 32, was martyred after being shot by the occupation in the head, chest and abdomen, during the aggression on Jenin.”

Israeli occupation forces shot and killed, before dawn on Tuesday, two Palestinians, including a child, during a military incursion into the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, south of Jericho, in the northeastern part of the West Bank.

Media sources said that the occupation army stormed, in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday, the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, just south of the ancient city of Jericho.

Israeli soldiers opened fire at local Palestinians under unclear circumstances, however it is presumed that the youths protested the invasion.

There is no mention of resistance from armed Palestinian fighters, however social media videos show an exchange of fire between resistance fighters and the invading army.

During the invasion, soldiers shot and seriously injured two Palestinian civilians, including a child, who were transported to the Jericho Governmental Hospital.

Medical sources said that Qusai Omar al-Walaji, 16, and Muhammad Ribhi Nujoom, 25, were admitted to hospital in critical condition, and both were pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

It was reported that the slain young men were shot with live rounds, however, no further details were provided regarding the nature of the wounds.

The Jericho chapter of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) reported that soldiers abducted Mohammed Nasr Abu Al-Assal, 20, from his home in the camp.

Later Tuesday, hundreds of Palestinians gathered at the Jericho Governmental Hospital to receive the body of Muhammad Ribhi Nujoom, 25, and proceeded to his family home for loved ones to say their final goodbyes.

Mourners performed the funeral prayer, and laid the body of the slain young man to rest in the martyrs’ cemetery, in the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp.

The body of the slain child, Qusai Omar al-Walaji, 16, was held at his family home in the “Katt al-Wad” neighborhood in Jericho city, while loved ones paid their respects.

The funeral procession began from there to the Old Jericho mosque, where the funeral prayer was performed, before the body of the child was laid to rest.

Soldiers opened fire, with live ammunition, shooting Amir Ahmed Muhammad Khalfia, 27, with two rounds in the head and back, the Ministry of Health announced.

The young man, a citizen of the Al-Ein refugee camp (Camp No. 1) in Nablus city , was transported to hospital in critical condition, where medical personnel pronounced him dead shortly after arrival.

According to the slain man’s brother, Khaled, Amir “has been pursued for two years, and he has fought many clashes and survived several assassination attempts recently.”

He added that, “What happened today was an ambush carried out by the occupation forces, as they lured my brother out of the camp, and then assassinated him as soon as he got off his vehicle.”

Later Thursday, hundreds of Palestinians gathered in front of the Rafidia hospital in Nablus, and carried the body of the slain young man through the streets, to his family home in the Al-Ein refugee camp.

Family members and loved ones said their final goodbyes before his body was buried in the camp cemetery.

An Israeli security guard shot and killed, on Saturday evening, a Palestinian man, in an alleged shooting attack in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv, local sources reported.

On Saturday evening, a Palestinian young man allegedly shot and killed one Israeli security guard, and injured two more Israelis in Tel Aviv, in the central coastal region of Israel.

The Times of Israel quoted Israeli Police Commissioner, Kobi Shabtai, who stated that two security officers approached a “suspect” who pulled out a handgun and opened fire, striking one of the security guards.

The Times of Israeli added that the uninjured security guard chased the man and returned fire, the officer was quoted as saying, “I chased after him and continued shooting until he fell to the ground.”

The injured security officer was identified as Chen Amir, 42, was shot in the head and transported to hospital with critical injuries, which he succumbed to shortly thereafter.

The details of other injuries are unclear, the Times of Israel failed to mention other injuries, however Palestinian media reported three injuries in total.

It was added that the accused shooter was also transported to hospital after being shot multiple times, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The accused perpetrator of the shooting was identified as Kamal Abu Bakr, 22, from Rummanah village, northwest of Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank.

A Palestinian child died, on Monday, 6 days after he was shot by an illegal Israeli settler, near the “Ofra” settlement, northeast of Ramallah in the central part of the occupied West Bank, the Ministry of Health confirmed.

According to Dr. Ahmed Al-Bitawi, the director of the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah, Ramzi Fathi Hamed, 17, died, Monday morning, of a severe pulmonary embolism (blood clot in his lungs), after being shot with live rounds in the chest and abdomen 6 days ago.

On August 1, 2023, Ramzi Fathi Hamed, 17, was driving in the vicinity of the illegal “Ofra” colony, near the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah.

One source reported that the man who shot him was the guard of the “Ofra” settlement.

News outlets did not cover the event, however the Ministry of Health and the mayor of Silwad confirmed that the child was shot with live rounds by an Israeli settler.

For his part, Raed Hamed, the mayor of Silwad, confirmed that the child was shot by an illegal Israeli settler on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, while he was inside a vehicle near the “Ofra” colony.

It is important to mention that on Friday, August 4, 2023, an illegal Israeli colonizer shot and killed a Palestinian young man Qusai Jamal Maatan, 19, in Burqa town, east of Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank.

A special Israeli unit executed, on Sunday afternoon, three Palestinians, including a child, while they were in a vehicle near a roundabout in the town of Arraba, southwest of Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank, the Ministry of Health confirmed.

Members of a special Israeli unit, known as the “Yamam” unit, the so-called “counter-terrorism” unit, fired dozens of live rounds at a Palestinian-plated vehicle which was stopped on the side of the road, assassinating all three occupants, who did not pose an immediate threat to the army.

Military reinforcements stormed the town after the attack, to provide backup for the Israeli special forces who carried out the operation.

The Authority for Civil Affairs informed the Ministry of Health of the death of the three men near Arraba town, southwest of Jenin.

The Occupation Army Radio claimed that one of the targeted individuals, identified as Nayef Abu Sweiss, 26 , from the Jenin refugee camp, had allegedly carried out prior operations, adding that he, “received military information from the Gaza Strip to carry out operations.”

The army contends that the three slain men were previously implicated in prior operations, and were purportedly planning on carrying out another, without providing details.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that the army denied medical treatment to the young men by preventing ambulance crews from approaching the vehicle.

Sources added that upon the army’s withdrawal from the scene, they towed the heavily damaged vehicle and confiscated the bodies of the three murdered men, while they were still present inside of the vehicle.

The army attempted to justify the execution of the three men by claiming that, “a special force assassinated a Palestinian cell from the Jenin camp, led by Fayez Abu Sweis, 26, along with two others, and an M16 weapon was found in their possession.”

Later, sources revealed the identities of the three slain young men as, Louay Abu Naasa and Nayef Abu Sweis, 26, both from the Jenin refugee camp, and Baraa Ahmed Fayez al-Qarm, 15 , from Jalqamus village, southeast of the city.

Palestinians in the Jenin governorate, along with the family of the slain men gathered, Sunday evening, in the refugee camp and marched to the center of Jenin city, to express their condemnation of the occupation’s murder of the three young men.

Further details revealed that Abu Sweis, was one of the leaders of the “Jenin Brigade” linked to the “Quds Brigades” which is the military wing of the “Islamic Jihad” resistance movement.

Abu Naasa was also a member of the resistance group, while it was not clear whether the 15-year-old al-Qarm was involved in the armed resistance.

Palestinian citizens attempted to confront the settler incursion, however there were greater numbers of settlers, with the security of the army.

The settlers attacked Palestinian residents, hurled rocks at them, and burned two Palestinian-owned vehicles in the town.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health (MoH) announced that a Palestinian teenager was shot with live ammunition by a settler, however there are conflicting reports.

According to medical sources at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), its ambulance crews transported a critically injured youth to hospital stating that the youth was shot by the army.

The critically injured youth, identified by the MoH as Qusai Jamal Maatan, 19, was pronounced dead shortly after arrival to hospital.

It was added that at least two other Palestinian young men were injured by rocks, they were taken to hospital for medical intervention.

It is important to mention that the illegal colonizers brought sheep to the area, with the clear intention of establishing a colonial outpost for grazing their livestock.

According to eyewitness reports, the soldiers fired a barrage of live rounds, tear gas canisters, and concussion grenades at the young men who resisted the incursion.

Israeli soldiers shot Mahmoud Abu Sa’an, 18, in the head with a live round, reportedly from a short distance.

The injured young man was transported to Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased shortly after arrival.

Sources added that Sa’an had just graduated from high school this year.

A Palestinian child was shot and killed, on Tuesday night, after an alleged stabbing attempt, near Al-Samou’ town, south of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, the Ministry of Health confirmed.

The Public Authority for Civil Affairs informed the Ministry of the shooting death of the child near the illegal settlement outpost of “Eshtemoa”, located west of the town.

The Ministry identified the slain child as Muhammad Farid Shawqi Al-Zaarir, 15, a ninth grade student, stating that the child was shot and killed by Israeli occupation forces.

A video on social media shows what appears to be a civilian holding a gun, while an injured person lays on the ground, as a soldier stands watching.

Security sources said that occupation forces denied the injured child of medical treatment by blocking ambulance crews from approaching him.

Israeli Army Radio claimed that an army officer shot the child, after he allegedly attempted to stab a soldier with a knife.

At the time of writing of this report, it is unclear whether or not the army confiscated the body of the slain child.

There were no reports of any injuries among the Israeli army.

On Tuesday, an off duty Israeli Border Police officer shot and killed a young Palestinian man near the town of Al-Ezzariyya, east of Jerusalem.

According to Israeli forces, the Palestinian had opened fire at Israeli colonial settlers near the entrance to the colony of Ma’ale Adumim, built on lands stolen from Palestinians living mainly in Al-Ezzariya. The sources claimed that six Israelis were wounded before an off-duty Israeli officer shot and killed the shooter.

Among those injured were a 40 year old male in serious condition and a 28 year old male in moderate condition.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the young man who was killed as Mohannad Mohammad Suleiman Al-Mazra’a, 20 years old .

Israeli occupation soldiers shot dead, on Wednesday night, a Palestinian child in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, the Ministry of Health confirmed.

The army invaded the “Al-Naqqar neighborhood” in the western part Qalqilia, sparking protests among local Palestinian youths,

Soldiers responded to the protests by firing live ammunition, rubber-coated steel rounds, tear gas canisters, and concussion grenades at citizens and their homes.

The Ministry of Health, in a brief statement, that a Palestinian child Fares Sharhabeel Abu Samra, 14, was critically wounded after soldiers shot him in the head with live ammunition.

The severely injured child was transported to the Qalqilia Governmental Hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased as a result of a critical gunshot wound to the head.

Israeli forces shot and killed, on Wednesday, a Palestinian young man in the Al-Ein refugee camp, in the northern occupied West Bank city of Nablus, the Ministry of Health confirmed.

Local sources reported that occupation special forces invaded the Al-Ein camp in Nablus, backed by large army reinforcements who were stationed throughout the camp, while sharpshooters occupied rooftops of civilian homes.

Palestinian youths protested the incursion, while armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading army.

Soldiers fired live rounds and tear gas canisters, seriously injuring one young man in the chest with a live round and causing dozens to sustain inhalation injuries from exposure to tear gas.

Medical sources at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that the critically injured young man was transported to hospital, and pronounced dead from a deadly gunshot wound to the chest, shortly after arrival.

The Ministry of Health identified the slain young man as Muhammad Abdul Hakim Naim Nada, 23.

It was reported that a large army force besieged a Palestinian-owned home in the camp, and abducted Nour Al-Basiouni, who was forced to surrender to the army, according to the young man’s brother.

Furthermore, at least one woman was injured when an Israeli military vehicle struck the vehicle she was in, while a number of other vehicles sustained damage as a result of the army incursion.

On Wednesday afternoon, Palestinian mourners attended the funeral procession for the slain Muhammad Abdul Hakim Naim Nada, in front of the Rafidia Governmental Hospital in Nablus. (...)

Israeli forces, shot dead, on Tuesday, three Palestinian young men after an exchange of fire in the northern occupied West Bank city of Nablus, the Ministry of Health confirmed.

On Tuesday morning, three Palestinian young men were present in a vehicle, parked at the entrance to Jabal Gerizim (Mount Gerizim), south of Nablus.

The army claimed that one young man exited the vehicle and allegedly opened fire at soldiers who were stationed in the area.

Occupation forces opened heavy fire at the vehicle, killing all three occupants. No injuries were reported among the army.

Hebrew channel Kan claimed that the slain young men had “opened fire at a military force in the area, which in turn responded with fire and killed those inside, while M-16 rifles were found inside the vehicle.”

The Palestinian Civil Affairs Authority informed the Ministry of Health of the death of the three young men who were identified as Noureddine Tayseer Al-Ardah, 32, Montaser Bahjat Ali Salama, 33, and Saad Maher Al-Kharraz, 43.

Security sources said that occupation forces denied ambulance crews and journalists access to the scene, and eyewitnesses said that the army deliberately destroyed the surveillance cameras in the area.

In a statement, the army claimed that all three men were armed, and alleged that there were three M16 rifles, a pistol, cartridges and other equipment found in the car.

Soldiers closed the iron gate at the entrance to Mount Gerizim, for a number of hours, preventing citizens from entering or leaving.

It was added that soldiers confiscated the bodies of the slain men, in addition to their vehicle.

Israeli occupation forces shot and killed, on Friday night, a Palestinian teenager and injured another, before abducting him, in the northern occupied West Bank town of Sebastia, northwest of Nablus, local sources reported.

According to the director of the ambulance and emergency services at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Nablus, Ahmed Jibril, soldiers prevented its medical crews from approaching the vehicle, until the teen was deceased.

Soldiers opened heavy live fire at a vehicle with two occupants, killing one and injuring the other. Citizens were able to inspect the damage to the car which revealed dozens of bullet holes across the entire vehicle.

The slain teen was identified as Fawzi Hani Mokhalafa, 18, and the other occupant of the vehicle was identified as Muhammad Omar Mukhaimer, who was wounded by live rounds and abducted by the army.

The PRCS medics transported the body of the slain teen to Rafidia hospital in Nablus, once the army allowed them on to the scene.

The condition of the apprehended young man was not known at the time of writing this report.
